We are very excited about our brilliant new range of recycled plastic toys from Green Toys.
We love fun, colourful, eco friendly toys and have a great wooden and bamboo range but clearly they are not suitable for water, sand and err mud play. So we were delighted to come across Green Toys at the Toy Fair 2013.
Green Toys are an American company – based in California – and they use recycled milk containers as the main ingredient in creating their toys. The collected milk cartons are reprocessed into super clean fresh plastic – called high-density polyethylene (or HDPE) This material is one of the safest, cleanest plastics around and contains no traceable amounts of Phthalates or BPA.
There are no metal parts that could potentially rust or external coatings that could peel and apparently they are all dishwasher safe – though I’m not sure I could actually get the Dump Truck into mine!
The toys come packaged in recycled corrugated boxes, printed with soy inks, with no plastic, cellophane or twist ties and are 100% recyclable. So not only are they earth friendly – but you can actually get the toy quickly and with minimum angst!
The range has been selling really well on the stall but now I have finally revamped Children’s Toys section of the website to accommodate the range and hopefully make navigation a bit clearer for customers.
At the moment we are stocking Dump Trucks (red or pink), Seaplanes, Submarines, Tugboats, Tractors and a Sand Play Set. The Submarine and the Tugboats are recommended from 6 month plus so they make good – and just that little bit different – ‘Baby’ toys/gifts as well.
We are really thrilled to be stocking Green Toys and look forward to adding to the range over the coming months – do let us know what you think?!
